K-30 and prime manual 50mm lens considerations
1

Hello,

Today is a great day, I finally received my eagerly awaited K-30 and 18-55mm WR kit lens.

Since I got it, I strangely have been playing with the manual focus more than anything else. I have to learn all about focus peaking and everything else on the camera. This is my first DSLR.

Up to now I have been reading about prime lens' and the recommendation of learning photography on a 50mm manual lens.

I was outbid earlier on the famous auction site for a SMC Pentax-M 1:1.7 50mm lens. I also have been looking at the 'A' version of the same lens even if these sometimes fetch nearly twice the money for a good one.

Do any of you have any other recommendations for 'legacy' lens' at around the same price and maximum aperture?

Here are a few photos of the christening of my K-30. I can't wait for good daylight though! I used AF for these though...
