shopping for compact canon...opinions sought

I have had a Canon SD1000 for about 5 years as my take along camera when I didn't want to bring my 35mm digital. The sd1000 served me very well but now needs to be replaced. I want to stick with Canon. I am shopping compact canon that I can pop into my shirt pocket and put to quick and easy usage. I want to spend about $150 - $200 and will go higher if the extra $$ is really worth it.
What do DP forum folks think?
