I disagree that there are cameras that are similarly priced with more capabilities. At the very least it must be compared to a FF DSLR. Sounds to me like you are comparing it to body only prices. Though it comes with a lens worth over a grand. Pair any of the FF bodies you may be referring to with a comparable lens (glass is after all the most important component) and you wont find a more capable camera in the same price range. Not close.

I also disagree with the OPs point relative to the cost and what this camera brings to the table. Since you want to play the on topic card. If this camera was being discussed in the Nikon or Canon DSLR forums it wouldnt even come up as a large amount of money.
