24-120 F4 Reviews?
|
I have used a 24-85 f2.8-4 on a 100, 200, 300, 700, now an 800. I like this lens because I do macro work, copying in archives, and it is convenient, but I want something to match the quality of my 800. I have a bunch of Nikon primes, old ones too, going back to my film days and newer ones like the 1.4 50G
I have always thought I should have a 24-70 2.8, I guess because it is supposed to be the best, but I already have the 24-85, and so I think, why not the 24-120 f4? I have looked for reviews of this lens but have not found more than a handful, and outdated sites that don't even list it. I do have 20 f2.8, 28 1.4, 35 1.4 and 2, a bunch of 50s, even the 55 1.2, 105 f2.5, 135 f2.8, 80-200, 300, almost all really old, converted to AI, and all good for something but I want a everyday lens better than my now old D 24-85 f2.8-4.
I appreciate all your thoughts.
