I went to a performance in uptown Charlotte, called Charlotte Squawks. I had my camera with me, and a front row seat. I hadn't expected to be able to take photos, but when they talked about photography they said, "no flash". So out came the camera with the 20mm lens, ISO 1600. I used nearest subject for many of the shots as well as spot focus. As far as which lens to take uptown, I go or try to go once a week, and the one advantage of the primes is how fast they focus. Still, while I don't use my 14-45 all that much, I just did need it to take a picture to use as my avatar, the 20mm wouldn't work. So I guess the answer is keep all of the lens that you have, as sometimes you just have to have that special one.
