Should "Off Topic" Forum be limited to actual Photographers?

Hi!

Until I visited this forum, I thought that folks could sometimes be uncourteous and/or uninformed in talking about their photo opinions. But that pales in comparision to what is sometimes said in the Off Topic Forum.

I had assumed that the Off Topic forum would be a place where one could discuss issues with other photographers.

But instead I find folks with thousands, or even tens if thousands of posts pretty much limited to Off Topic, typically with no pictures in their galleries and no discernable interest in photography. Further, the "contributions" of these non-photographers is often the rudest, most ill-informed, and blindly contentious, often violating forum policies.

So a question:

Should participation in the Off Topic Forum be limited to those who have demonstrated an interest in photography by participation in Photographically related contributions to DP Review?
