35 choice

I have the Canon 35L, and love it. I find it really sharp. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the fringing, but that's easily corrected. I use it mostly indoors in low light for people pictures, so I don't know, or care, about edge to edge sharpness on this lens. I use other lenses for landscapes. I have been reading on this forum a lot of gushing praise for the new Sigma 35. If I wanted to, I could sell my 35L and buy the Sigma, and still have some money left over. Given that I already find the Canon perfectly sharp, is there any reason for me to do that (other than the money)? I am also intrigued by the new Canon 35 F2IS. I would really love IS on my 35. I usually shoot my 35L between F1.6 and F2, so the F2 maximum aperture on the new 35 wouldn't lose me too much shutter speed, if it's sharp wide open. It's about the same price as the Sigma. Does anyone know when it will be available? I really shouldn't read this forum. It just makes me want more lenses!
