Hi Jim,
you are SO right. The time wasted flipping the DSLR in and out of video mode is troublesome and can easily cause us to miss a shot. We did not mention that the GH3 will shoot both video and medium quality JPEGS at the same time - as long as you do not have a flash attached nor activated. This changes things up a bit too. We do with we could shoot COLOR video, then B&W still jpegs at the same time.
