For me, Option 3 is the way to go. That is to say, I added the E-M5 to compliment my E-5 system.
I use the E-M5 with u4/3's lenses when I my first priority is a small and lightweight camera with high performance primes that I can carry around all day long.
When I need the fastest AF, quickest response and highest performance zooms, my only choice is the E-5/HG/SHG system.
The E-M5 is a fantastic camera, lightweight, wonderful sensor, great features, but the E System still outperforms it in several very important areas.
Also note, I rarely use my E-M5 with 4/3's HG/SHG glass. While some are quite fond of this combination, it's simply not my personal preference.
