Looking for #1 walkaround prime : 28 vs 35 ?

Hi all,

I find it hard to decide which prime would serve me better as a walkaround prime for my D700, outdoor mainly but also indoor with kids...

I've tried a full day with the 28/1.8G and found it to be a superb lens, also liked a lot the wide angle of it but after returning home & loading everything to my PC I found myself cropping most of the frames just a little bit....made me wonder - might 35mm FL would have been a better choice... ?

I've heared some mixed opinions on the 35/2D, as it's going to be my main lens should I consider the 35/1.4G ?

I do have the Sigma 50/1.4, it's a nice glass but too narrow IMHO as a walkaround lens...

Also have the 85/1.4D that I might throw in for some of those street walking days, but most of them it would probably be the 28/35 lens only.

Anyone ?
