New shooters read up: Canon G's vs DSLR

Action I'll agree the G series lag a lot behind DSLRS's of course. G15 addresses this a bit with the faster frame rate burst etc, but not entirely by any means. However, that said, one's skills improve and action can be caught- I do it all the time with my G series cameras (prefocus or manual focus shooting help greatly).

I think there's more AF lag than there is shutter lag to be concerned about. Shutter lag is minimal as long as you are prefocused. Capturing the "decisive moment" isn't an issue for me or anyone using the G series cameras to their full capability.
