Is the OMD-EM5 for Pros?

Hi Forum,

In my recent trip to Indonesia, I brought my Canon 60D, grip, with a white telephoto lens as my main camera with the OMD-EM5 as a back-up.

During my travels through Flores, Sulawesi, Bali and Java, lasting just about a month, I found myself using the EM5 with the 45f1.8 as my main camera instead.

Putting the advancements of technology aside, I think it was the size advantage that forced me to make the change to the smaller kit.  The 60D as you know, while not a full frame camera, is just as large as the 5D mark 3 or the Nikon equivalent.

Upon my return home, I bought myself the 75f1.8.  For my next visit to Indonesia, I plan to bring two mirrorless bodies and a few lenses, leaving the large SLR at home.

Here are a few photos.  I suppose with the bigger full frame advantage, you'd get better quality images with that dynamic range advantage.  But what the hell.  With the bigger camera, I suppose I'd  be a bit slower moving around.

PS:  I move around mainly on the back of motorcycles and public transport when in Indonesia.  Or while tracking up volcanoes, on foot.

Thanks for viewing. Comments welcome

Thanks,

Ben
