Voigtlander 17.5mm Nokton on NEX 7?

The well-regarded Voigtlander 17.5mm/f.95 Nokton is available only in m43 mount, but it would be perfectly feasible to mount it on a NEX 7 with an adapter (readily available on ebay), and since it's an all-manual "dumb" lens that doesn't communicate with the camera, there would be no loss of functionality. And instead of the 35mm FoV on an m43 camera, it would yield a respectably wide 27.75mm FoV on the NEX 7, with its larger sensor.

But is the len's image circle large enough to cover the larger NEX 7 sensor, or is there some clipping? And especially, with the NEX 7's notoriously demanding sensor, how good is the image quality? I'd expect a fair amount of vignetting and purple hazing wide open, of course, but if stopped down a couple of stops, would it yield good IQ? Has anyone tried it?

I hope someone does, because there's nothing in the Sony lens roadmap that would be this wide and this fast; and the NEX 7, with its various focusing aides, is a EXCELLENT camera for manual-focusing work.
