How many leave the Big Dog (D700/D800) at home while traveling and take a smaller camera instead?

I took the D700 and 24-120 f4 to London, along with the 50 f1.4. I was quickly glad I had taken the 50 f1.4 because walking around town all day with the D700 + 24-120 f4 became really a pain in the back, literally. A couple of weeks after we got back home, I picked up the D7000 and it became my travel camera. Now the D600 will fulfill that role. At any rate, it lets me dedicate my D700 bodies for my paid work.
