Anybody go from a Canon SLR to a K5ii?

I have a Canon 7D but I'm looking into buying something smaller and lighter as a walkaround. I don't care for the Canon rebel series, the build just feels so crappy compared to the 7D. I also have a fuji x100 that I have a love/hate relationship with. I don't want to be stuck with the 35mm fov on the fuji and the AF leaves something to be desired. I'd be using it as kind of an all-rounder, street with primes, some landscape and travel stuff. I've been contemplating about an OMD, or the other Fujis, but they all have tradeoffs I'm not sure I'm willing to make. So has anybody gone from a canon slr (any of them) to the K5ii? I know very little about the pentax part of the world and I'm drawn to the K5ii because of the size and the 100% VF. I'm kind of looking for an slr that's like a Nikon FE2 in size and operation.
