Railroad bridge (w/ train!) / waterfall - Letchworth State Park

Hi all,

It's been kind of crazy here and I haven't been able to shoot or devote 'quality time' to the site in several days. It looks like the trend might continue for a while, but I did have a chance to sneak out over the weekend and get back to Letchworth. Though the prediction had been for sun, reality was quite different until later in the day. If the weather had followed the prediction, according to The Photographer's Ephemeris, (a wonderful free map-based tool) the light wasn't going to be good to shoot the railroad bridge over Middle Falls. Well, it turns out the light wasn't good, but for a different reason. The slowly lifting fog gave me an unexpected opportunity to shoot the scene without any glare. As I was setting up for the shot, I heard a distant train whistle. Trying to make the best of a challenging situation, here's one of the resulting images...
