SLR vs. SLR-like cameras-which is better?

I am planning to move up from Sony R1 (large sensor fixed lens) to a system. As i have found the Sony's live view and articulated screen extremely flexible and comfortable to use, I am considering only mirrorless. (I did shoot with SLRs in film days, never liked the viewfinders). FWIW you might do well to take a look at panasonic/olympus micro 4/3, Sony nex, canon m etc. (I am not recommending the R1 because it's quite noisy)
