First of all, the entire premise is strange - replace your 1D Mark II with the X-Pro1??! Totally different cameras!
I couldn't disagree with you more about the OVF. It's very accurate, you just need to learn how to use it. And, the ability to see what's out-of-fame is a huge, huge bonus to many photographers, including myself. If you don't understand the advantages of the OVF, than the X-Pro1 isn't for you.
