I'd agree with those String. Traffic especially as Jim Capaldi was a friend. His wife put on a great tribute concert for him with all his mates playing at the Roundhouse, and this year produced a book of his writings. I went to launch and there were some of his old rock friends there, a fun evening at the BBC Maida Vale studio. I think when I saw Procul harem they were actually supporting the Stones at the Lyceum. Pete Townsend still lives near me and I last talked to him when he was behind me in the queue for the cash machine! I couldn't be without my music.

Wow, you are lucky Jules. To live around all these legends, I envy you.
"Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" - probably my favorite Capaldi / Winwood composition.
Dave Mason plays around here ( Upstate NY ) from time to time in small venues. He is in fine form. His album "Alone Together" still gets played in this house.:-)

Thanks String, yes I have always enjoyed the rock part of my life and still enjoy going to concerts. I agree with you about Low Spark, it is my favourite Traffic numbers. Dave Mason was/is a good player, and of course wrote their only No 1 hit. But they weren't into top of the pops hits and subsequently of course got rid of him. They stood by their beliefs. Here's a montage I did of Steve and Jim from a concert they did about 1973 at Bracknell Sports Centre SW of London. I have one of me and Steve and Chris Wood somewhere but can't find it at the moment.
Great shots Jules. My favorite era of music, mid 60's to mid 70's.
