Nikon D90 takes violet (and static-y, distorted) photos / Motherboard or CCD error? Help!

Hi folks,
It started around a month ago, I was taking photos at a fashion show, when suddenly from time to time the photos my d90 (which was purchased October 14, 2011) would take purple photos, like this:
Fast forward to today, it almost doesn't let me take photos. Each time, it'd either be the same purple photo as above, sometimes it won't take any photo, or sometimes, it'd be like this:
Warranty's expired, but I brought it to the shop I got it from. The tech guy said it might be a CCD error. I brought it to another camera repair shop for a check-up, and they said it's a motherboard issue. Nonetheless, both said that it'd take months (and a huge sum) to have it repaired by Nikon here in the country (I'm from Manila, Philippines - and they said there are no actual Nikon service centers here. Just official representatives, who send the units to/order parts from Singapore.)
Just wanted to ask you folks if you have any idea what the issue here is, and what I can do next? I'm a bit lost to be quite honest. I take good care of my camera, I have never dropped it or mishandled it - and it's relatively new at a year old.
Thanks everyone, looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
