I feel ripped off by Nikon 1 system

How do you think B&H feels?

I wonder if Nikon issues some sort of a "credit" to B&H for such a drastic price cut? I can't imagine that their typical markup on digital cameras is much more than 20-30%. There's no way they could afford to lose that much $ on their inventory of V1's.

And, as I recall the Nikon "kiosk" is the first one you walk into as you enter their digital camera sales floor. I'm sure that Nikon doesn't want to let B&H management feel "ripped off" by the flagship 1 Series, V1.
