I guess you do not understand that in a studio, with a controlled light, at f/10 and w/ heavy postprocessing it does not really matter whether you are using O75/1.8 or just a decent kit zoom ... there is no background rendering - it is replaced by a muslin or so... so yes a decent portraiture that he could perfectly do w/ any modern camera and any modern lens except probably the most worst kits zooms... neither camera, nor lens were challenged here... no DR to tame, no out of focus background to render, no resolution at f/10 to show
