Open Source Lightroom interpolation for Time-Lapse (LRTimeLapse?)

Does anyone know of any open source alternatives to LRTimeLapse? LRTimeLapse is great, but there's no longer a free version of it. And I would like to get a little better at timelapses before shelling out the money to buy it. Maybe it's reasonable that I could use the trial with 400 image limit, but I have a few sequences longer than that. And it requires me to move files around to adhere to that instead of it just picking the first 400 frames.
I started my own little project (actually forked someone else's) on GitHub in case there's other developers out there that would want to use/improve it: https://github.com/justinwyne/timeroom
It's very elementary at this stage, but it does what I needed. Everything else like deflicker, and image stabilization I do with other free software.
