It's not quite that. What it is is my 'if exposure's so important, you should be able to spot 5 stops different' tack. So far, people don't seem to be doing very well. It's a bit muddied because my execution is not as good as my intention.

That sounds to me awfully like "look how amazing the modern sensors are" tack.

You are making a big assumption there, which is wrong. It's a different tack.
