75/1.8 Studio Portraits

I actually considered the 75/1.8 a bit too long for a Portrait lens and was affraid of flat faces but gave it a try last weekend. I have to admit that i was wrong, will use it more often from now on.

My only problem was that i am quite a bit smaller than the model and had to climb up on the top platform of a ladder to get enough distance ;-). Shooting from a small platform at 1.5m was a bit shaky but IS helped.

Those are studio shots at F10. I wasn't interested in small DOF here but even at F10 you can see that the shoulders in the first shot are clearly oof. Focus is always on the closest eye.

The skin is photoshopped because the model has acne and want's to use the images for her sedcard. Please don't discuss postprocessing pros and cons, this is a matter of taste, some like it and some don't.
