Dan if you had to choose a zoom - which one?

The Nikon 14-24 is my all time favorite zoom, I used it on my D3 and 5D2 and 1DS2 with G-type lens adapter, and now use it on my D800E and 1DS3, that's based on my personal experience from using Canon 10-22, Sigma 10-20, Tokina 12-24, Nikon 10-24 back then when I had 20D and D300, and on FF I only have/had 17-40L, 16-35L, 24-105L, 24-70L, Sigma 12-24 I & II, Nikon 17-35, 16-35 & 14-24. At the beginning the lack of filter support once cause a big headache for me as I shoot with GND quite a bit, but the issue has been fixed long time ago after few manufacture makes dedicated filter system for it.

Among them, here is my favorite system, it offer tons of different type of GND, Soft, hard edge, reverse, big stopper..... lot more choices than I need.
