My E X-1 Forze on me.

I was playing with the settings, film simulation, film simulation etc when a red light came on by the AE-L and AF-L button, and all buttons, switches (including on off switch) froze. The live view however remained active throughout. After my rapid breathing slowed down I took out the battery and replaced it again and all was well . What happened ?? Do I send camera back for a replacement ?. I also have a problem with the new FUJI brand battery I bought separately. When I try to charge it the light comes on for just 20 seconds and the goes off. I did make sure I seated it into the charger properly but the fit is nothing like my NIkon DSLR battery charger - no nice click ! The battery seems loose and fiddly in the charger. Anyway I did leave the battery in( with light off ) and found that it had charged properly. Should I ask for a replacement battery. Despite all of this I am crazy about the camera. Your input is invaluable.
