XE-1 drawbacks vs X100?

Maybe I should rethink how I use the auto ISO feature.  Perhaps using manual mode setting my desired aperture and the lowest acceptable shutter speed and letting the auto ISO do the rest would work well enough.  The problem with this seems to be that one loses exposure compensation functionality (at least with my X100).
