Canon 6D might be of interest to D600 purchasers

It's *the* feature that makes reviewing the shot on the back LCD much more useful. Without it, either one has to push one to three buttons (the zoom magnification + one or 2 on the joystick to get to the right location if the subject is not focused dead center) many times to seem if the image is truly in focus. End result: either too much time spent in the chimping operation, loosing pictures opportunities, or just give up on proper focusing check, not reshooting on occasions an image which will turn out OOF on the computer (so again pictures get lost).

The key property of the 100% button is not so much that it's a shortcut to magnification, but the fact that it does that and zoom straight on the area under the focus point. Quick peak to back LCD, quick push of the button, checked! All very quickly.

It's like a GPS in a car. One can drive for years without it, without even thinking he may find a GPS useful, until the day he uses one. From that day one one wonders how he could have driven a car all these years without a GPS. I would have dismissed that feature as of little interest like you did until I had a chance of using it. Now it's one of the most useful addition on my D800e compared to my previous camera.

The magnification button would be the one feature that would sway me towards the 6D. I've very little interest in integrated WiFi and lukewarm interest in integrated GPS, if I were to decide 6D versus D600 only on the basis of the bodies. Of course it's also true that the cameras are not far apart to start with.
