GH2: When shooting RAW+JPEG, for which is exposure optimized?
Dec 1, 2012

I generally shoot in aperture priority with the GH2. When I travel, I shoot RAW+JPEG as my laptop doesn't have lightroom or much space on it's harddrive, but people often want to see the just taken photos. When I'm looking at the photo RAWs in Lightroom, a lot seem underexposed. Is this due to the camera choosing it's metering based on ideal values for JPEGs rather than raws? Should their even be a difference? I do know that the GH2 tends to underexpose a bit in general, but this seems a bit more than normal.

Anyone know how it does its metering in this mode?

Thanks a lot!
