Thom's predictions for 2013...

I like the look of the NEX-6 as soon as it came out, because of the EVF. It has not disappointed. To be honest, I kinda forget it's electronic versus optical (even though you can tell if you think about it).

No, I haven't really tried any focus tracking of moving targets yet. AF or manual.

But for static manual focus, the NEX focus peaking is brilliant and works well with all my Nikkor's. Yes, I even tried it with a 300mm f/4 plus 1.7x TC

Of course, for serious sports photographers, the DSLR still beats all of the mirrorless cameras including the NEX in speed of AF and tracking.

Although I haven't yet really tackled anything fast moving, I'd say I'm getting fewer OOF duds with the NEX than I got my D200. So it's not too shabby in the focus department.
