Yes, with D300 being at its days second in line camera, as D200 (which was replaced by D300) was ...and in that line being now fifth, ...more important, without a purpose (which in D200 was to provide a cheaper D2 alternative and with D300 to A. Do the same with D3 and B. Connect the past (DX) with the future (FX) after the (planned) D700, which took that role, appeared...., there is no chance whatsoever of Nikon replacing a product which has been already replaced in many ways... and cannot serve the same purpose for that matter...
