Hi, I currently have a t3i, I have a 70-200 2.8L, 50mm 1.8 and soon I will be getting a Tamron 24-70 2.8, I also have a 430EX Speedlite. I am stuck on what camera I should upgrade to, I really like the 7D because of the AF points and durability. I usually shoot portraits, street/documentary, every now and then I'll shoot my school's sports teams (I've shot Football with no problem but hockey the ISO noise was killing me.) I dont really shoot landscapes, theres not really any interesting landscapes around me. However, I also like the 5D mark II because of well.... ful frame and noise performance but, then I notice the 6d which spec wise seems to beat out the 5d Mark II because of ISO, auto-focus and burst rate. Which one do you think would best fit me?

Some may disagree with me on this but I don't see the 6d as offering much at all, especially at a price of $2,100, compared to the other choices that are available.   When I read that it only has 11 focus points with only the center focus point being cross point sensitive, it reminded me of my first DSLR back in 2003 (Canon 10d).  It's hard for me to believe that Canon would produce a camera in this price range today that has only 11 focus points.  They throw in a couple gimmicks like wifi and gps to try to appeal to some folks, but those features hardly interest me in a camera. And you also lose the built in flash that you have on your T3i.

One advantage over your T3i is the dial on the back of the camera, which allows you to dial in changes to your settings without needing to scroll through menus.

The 6d is basically an overpriced, dirt slow (4.5 fps), full frame version of the 60d.

If you want a full frame camera with good image quality and are not so concerned about the autofocus ability, I think a 5D Mark II is a better choice at $1799 with Canon's $400 instant savings which is being offered through January 15.  It has 9 focus points vs 11, and it's 3.9 fps vs 4.5.  These are small differences and I believe it's a better overall camera.

But if I were you, I probably wouldn't buy either of these.  I'd spring for a 5D MkIII and enjoy a much better camera than both of these, with a world class autofocus system and lots more features.  If you get a 5D Mk3, you would not be compelled to upgrade again for quite a while.  I don't believe that would be the case with a 6D.

Good luck
