Video editing software

Probably be a good idea to post this in the Video forum.  For multi-cam edits, you are looking at the right software packages.  AVID may also have something good, but it will cost more.  Final Cut Pro X, IMHO, is a forward looking program that is structured the way editing software will be in a few years.  We all live with the fact that a lot of video editing programs have not caught up with the latest compression algorithms being used in camcorders, and we have to render the files into a compatible format before editing.
