Blunty on a99 video

Others have cited this link.  It's the only a99 review I've seen that was done without oodles of Sony support, Aston Martins, models, Ninjas, global crews, and copters.  Blunty researched the camera, walked about, took a lot of shots, and composed his review.

He is sympathetic to many Sony cameras, true.  He reviewed the VG10, which hardly anyone else did.  But he is fair about the cameras to the extent that we see video without post-processing or enhancements.  We even get tidbits of the native audio, which other works tend to smother with third party music.  The only thing missing (which I don't see others test either) is how the video looks when the camera is pointed at a moiré inducing surface like tiles, bricks, window screens, or fabrics.

He is favorable to the a99, but leans towards the a77 from the vantage of return on money.  No doubt about it: an a99 with lenses will involve a heap of money.

Well, if I'm to save up for those trips to Iceland, Vietnam, Spain, Alamfi, Berlin, and have enough money left over for the copters and cars, maybe I'd best trim the camera budget a bit.  If I'm lucky, maybe there will be some great deals on "open box" items returned by dreamers who buy and then come to the same realization.
