D300S: surprisely high DR

I were in Morrocco last week when I saw this scene. It was close to midday and belive me, there they have a very harsh sun! Even at naked eyes it was not easy to note shadows details. I did not have serious expectations when I made this picture.

Just in case I went to 14bit raw (my usual setup is 12bit raw). Single shot. Development by DxO. Just cosmetics handling into the Photoshop CS5. The full resolution picture has a lot of details, both in highlights and shadows!

The Nikkor 24-120 f/4 also surprised me: very good for flare resistance even at 24 mm!

Not so bad for an "outdated" camera, no?
