Run msconfig

Go to the Startup tab. Remove the check marks for all programs except your anti virus program. Then restart your computer to see if it helps. By unchecking the startup items it does not uninstall the program it just prevents running automatically. You can always replace the check marks to restart program on loading. No harm can be done with this method.
