5n 18200 orig College Hockey

First time shooting an actual sporting event with the 5n and 18200 original tonight. Went to shoot our college's hockey game. I work there so I had access to a spot right behind the net which kind of helped. Only downer was I was shooting through the fiberglass for almost all of them. Can't seem to really tell though.
Anyways used center focus and DMF and set the iso at 1600 in P mode. Felt like it was a nice compromise between speed and noise. Felt like I needed at least 1/320 to try to freeze most of the action.
The quality wasn't exactly great but it really was quite acceptable, especially for any non-pixel peeping viewing. It's certainly not capable of getting in too close and retaining a ton of image quality but I think it can do a game like this justice.
Anyways CC most certainly welcome, anyone try shooting sports with any AF glass we have? El Matador etc.. What do you guys think?
PS its Bowdoin College vs Colby College. Was mentioned in the NY times, 199th game between the two.
Bowdoin, where I coach baseball, won 3-1.
