How do you deal with the absence of the flip LCD screen?

In case of the Fujifilm X-system cameras this is true since they are quite small. In case of a larger SLTs or DSLRs (like the A55 that I own) the addition of the flip screen does not contribute significantly to the weight or overall thickness. Also, aside from the obvious advantages (like viewing the scene from odd angles) the back of the flip screen serves as a nice screen protector. The back of the screen is facing me on my camera most of the time protecting the screen.
