I think his points are right on.    If the D600 sales are soft, that's not an opinion, it's just reporting what the sales actually are.    And it doesn't surprise me.    I'm one of those frustrated D300 & D700 users who wanted something other than the D600 as a replacement.  (Frustrated not by my current cameras, but by the lack of something I consider a direct upgrade for two cameras I really, really like.   A D7000/90/80/70 body type is a non-starter for me.  I do like the idea of a D800, except the speed and battery.)

The demise of the D800?   I'd say that's just consolidating into a single version (D800e) which seems to not have the issues people expected, and even with a $200 price drop is still making Nikon $100 more per camera than the D800.

D4 issues.  Not heard of them.   Then again it's priced out of my range anyway.   The 16mp always seemed underwhelming to me though.

Give me a nice, fast 24mp D400, and a D... uh, D800s?   I'd like my 36mp to come in 6-8 fps if I could get it!
