Would anyone else have liked the D800/D4 to have a square crop option? Perhaps the D900/D5..?

I shoot a D800 (+D700) but also a 6x6 Pentacon Six TL medium format film camera.  I absolutely love the 6x6 square format to the extend that i've just bought another 6x6 film camera.  I think Nikon (plus other main players) are missing a trick not to have the square crop option.  Obviously with the D800 36MP you can of course crop to a square but to compose in 6x6 format you want to see square format through the viewfinder.

Here is one I just did to make a D800 shot look more like my P6 film images.  The original already had the old feel look SOOC but I added the border etc:
