Smooth Rebate Receipt On T3i Purchase

I was one of a number of people in this forum who took advantage of the rebate deals with Canon this fall.  In my case, buying from Amazon I got a new 600D / T3i body, Pixma Pro9000 MII printer and 50 sheets of 13 X 19 specialty paper.  Total list price of about $1,272, I got it for $504 net of the $400 mail in rebate, so a savings of 60% off of list price.

My $400 AmEx card arrived today (yeah!) and since some threads about this offer have been on the fearful / negative side, I thought it was worth mentioning that my experience was entirely positive.

I followed the rules on submitting the paperwork for the rebate precisely.  The rebate was approved with no hassles whatsoever, and easily checked online.  The rebate was supposed to arrive within 60 days, it arrived on the 56th day after being mailed in, and that is EXACTLY what you would expect from a major corporation managing its cash flow and float income.

Anyway, it worked out exactly the way it was supposed to, and I thought it worth mentioning...
