The OS is but a way to use the computer (software and hardware) to do "stuff" with.

You should be running whatever OS supports your hardware.

The other way, once you have a computer with the new OS, replace all the "incompatible" hardware.

Bottom line. Ifyou goal is to print run win7.

If you goal is to run win8, go get hardware that works with it, thowing out all your existing investment and be mad at whoever released an incompatible OS
