Hi, as I understand a fast shutter speed is needed for fast moving subjects ei sports, pets, kids running around, etc. and IS is really great for static subjects. But what about slow moving subjects in low light, for example school plays, people at a dinner party, award ceremonies?

Would there be a benefit from using a estabilized lens vs non IS?

Thanks

sure, it helps at low shutter speeds.  How much depends on the person and circumstances but I'd rather have IS than not IS especially with the longer focal length telephoto lens
