Need advise on radio strobe trigger
Nov 30, 2012

I have a brand new Olympus OM-D and a E-pl1 and would like to be able to use any strobe or flash with these cameras.

When I say any, I mean made by any manufacturer without regard for trigger voltage.

Some of these cheaper or older strobes have a higher trigger voltage that will fry the circuit on a digital camera.

My idea is to get a radio controlled trigger for off camera cordless flash.

The trigger unit would mount onto the hotshoe and fire off a radio signal to a unit with a hotshoe and a stobe mounted on it.

Pretty simple, but I am a newbie in this field and need advise as to what you guys and gals recommend.

I found this one made by Aputure: Aputure Trigmaster II Versatile Trigger

http://www.aputure.com/en/product/trigmaster_versatile_trigger_for_strobe_speedlight_camera.htm

or

http://www.amazon.com/Aputure-Trigmaster-Trigger-Olympus-Speedlight/dp/B0095PWQJY/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1354192131&sr=1-4&keywords=Trigmaster+II+2.4G

Thank you in adnance
