Wow, you've had some bad luck. From what I hear the D600 sensor spots stop appearing after about 2000 shutter clicks. I'm guessing its some kind of lube or wearing of shutter material. Time to setup the intervalometer ; )

I just built a new tower pc with almost a dozen parts ordered online. If you think about the complexity of the multifeature ASUS motherboard, screamingly fast NVidia display adapter, core i7 overclocked processor, 6GB/s 80k IOPS SSD drive etc it's amazing it all worked out of the box.
