Has E-M5 "hairline fracture" chilled prospective buyers?

I only needed to read the start of the thread and again this is why I am not buying Olympus OMD or anything Olympus. This is why I picked Panasonic a few years ago over what Olympus has at the time solely based on what I perceived as just not for my standards coming from Nikon.   Sure I'll conceded it can happen as easily to Panasonic, can't predict anything.

By the same token all who get on me deserve this bad karma they sent to me 1000 times more so.

Like I said you can't go wrong 99.9% of the time matching manufacture body to lens.  You may have a great Panasonic lens on a cracked OMD, but you need both.

I never said one is better. It is my perception of what is before me today that led me to Panasonic. I guarantee if Panasonic has the same issues I have no qualms leaving Panasonic. It it just a camera that cost a lot.

Buying a new OMD today with this unresolved issue makes no sense and I would not place a $1000 bet unless I either know I was going to win or could afford that loss.
