Yes, I bought one a few weeks ago as well - the price from Fuji refurb is just too good (especially with a discount code - google for one).

I too didn't want to dive into the whole system before trying it. I'm glad I did, because it's definitely taking time to adapt to the quirks - but the portability, charm and unthreatening look of the camera more than makes up for them.

I would highly advise getting a refurb. Even if there is an X200 in the pipeline (and there really have been no rumours of that with any substance) it will remain a classic camera, unlike most of the devices being spewed out by other manufacturers, and should hold its value better than them.

Before plunging into the X series system fully, I would like to see (a) if Fuji's future lenses will use a linear motor for faster focussing (no sign of it on the 14mm) and (b) if, as Thom predicts, there will be some sort of Phase Autofocus points on future sensors.

I'm also slightly sad there's no 24mm FF equivalent - the 14mm (21mm FF) is nice, but very large.

However, back to the X100. The true joy is the simplicity of just have one focal length. No camera bags with alternative lenses, no bulky telephotos crashing into people. Just compose and shoot. If only the AF was as simple and clear, then this would be a perfect camera!
