Looking for camera for concert-photography: LX7?

Lately I've become interested in concert photography. Not the stadium-like concerts, but small venues with up to 500 visitors, mainly singer-songwriters and rockbands. Since most venues prohibit access with (D)SLR's, I've sold all my Canon 350d gear and am now looking into a high-end compact-camera.

Since one of my priorities is a fast lens, my attention was drawn to the Panasonic LX7. Does any of you have actual experience with concert photogaphy with an LX7? Any pointers to galleries with actual pictures of performing musicians, taken with an LX7, would be greatly appreciated. As will of course any tips, advice, etc.!
