Yes, but I want it to work with a timer for long exposures and time lapses. 8-bit microcontrollers usually don't come with a built-in air pump.
I know I saw one somewhere but if the solenoid worked then any chinese made tx/rx pair should work.. NICE!
Since this only makes sense with a tripod, and tripod only benefits from added weight as long as it's sufficiently lower than the camera, I would rather keep all control and power on a tripod, and either entirely wireless or minimal current over control connection. It also helps not to have poory filtered inductive load with long loops around sensitive electronic equipment.
Agreed.. So what are you thinking for wireless? A raspi and trigger over 802.11? You could potentially use some SDRF solution but then again I'm over thinking.
Maybe some arduino application could work.
